Why Aurora Produces
a Fashion Show

The March 1, 2008 event was part of Aurora's broader program effort, our disABLED Divaz Program, to eradicate the "dis" in disability. We focus our work with young women with disabilities on leadership development and mentoring, advocacy, and community education -- strengthening and emphasizing the "ability" in disability in each element of our work. Poet and playwright Neil Marcus once said, "Disability is not a 'brave struggle in the face of adversity'...disability is an art. It's an ingenious way to live."
